so i was doin’ a little cruisin’ through central park today. my buddy and i had just finished tossing the disc and we figured we’d walk through an area where we usually knew a drum circle to live.

anyhow so we get to the area and the circle was just firin’ up. but by the end, it was raging. luckily i had my camera on me and could take a couple shots. i actually took a ton of shots and might make a gallery, we’ll see. i’m a little tired. it was really nice at the park. very warm and lots of peeps. perfect.

i’m stoked beyond belief. the front page photo on nytimes.com right now (07/28/06, 12:55 a.m.) features a photo from the audio slide show i cut earlier today.

the slideshow linked to below the picture, “Audio & Photos: A Trickle of Relief,” is the my work. i called hassan fattah today and recorded his audio. then i cut it together and lisa iaboni sequenced and cut the photos. i came up with the title, too. pretty clever right? ok, maybe not clever.

quite a rush.

i couldn’t resist. today was kinda an intense day so i needed some levity. saw this at the park.

so we rolled to watch a scanner darkly last night and i’ll tell you what. that shit was weird. and i was still a little hung over so that shit was whack too.

i was really looking forward to this movie, but i’m still not sure how i feel about it. i don’t wanna give it a bad review just cause i felt like toilet, but at the same time, it might deserve some criticism. it was slow and it was weird. and it was rotoscoped which kinda got old halfway through the flick, but i understand that they might have thought it added an element of craziness to it. it certainly fucked with my hang over.

in the end, i do believe the movie redeemed itself with a truly good story, but the hour of feeling like i had dropped substance d and the pain of seeing keanu reeves again be perfectly cast as johnny utah still didn’t end up being the movie i was looking for.

tomorrow i’ll post some of my recent work from the website.

yo so as you can see by the last post, i have figured out how to put flash content in the dope. this is good because flash is my gig yo.

anyhow, i also noticed in the youtube video post below that if you use the controls, you can watch it in my site (obviously better). however, if you click anywhere on the buttons on the screen, it will take you to youtube. i understand why youtube does this – but that doesn’t mean i don’t think it’s the weak shit.

the real reason i wanted to include flash in my posts is so i can have photo slideshows, like this one (a couple pics from the park series). i don’t know if i’m gonna keep this pic player or not though.

dude, you have to watch this. it is hysterical. it is a couple days old, but worth every second.

wow. it has been taken the dope this long to come up for a breath of air. after d.c. i arrived in the nyc and moved into my new place. living in a brownstone is something i never really imagined. it is better than that.

it is the shit.

my new job has also been the sweet. living in the news is incredible. every day is exciting. there is always something going on.

it makes you speak in short, declarative sentences.

no but seriously, i’m pretty beat after my first two weeks of work, and we just got the internet up in this ‘stone like hoy so hopefully i’ll be able to put up some of my chile pics soon. yup.
